United Way of Greater Duluth’s annual Day of Caring matches teams of community-minded volunteers with local non-profit agencies in need of extra hands. Volunteers can make a real difference by tackling agency projects such as painting, planning activities for kids, collecting supplies, landscaping, light maintenance and many other opportunities. Everyone is welcome!
Day of Caring is a great way to promote volunteerism, increase awareness of local human service agencies and give people a chance to see firsthand the impact United Way and local agencies are creating in our community.
In 2013, United Way of Greater Duluth’s Volunteer Center recruited almost 300 volunteers to help with 29 projects. This kind of volunteer impact equates to over $28,650!

“United Way’s Day of Caring and its volunteers are a terrific addition to our Annual Client Recognition Lunch. Their enthusiasm and support make the event even more meaningful to the 190 people we work with each day.”
