At 3 months, Rita is gaining strength in her upper body.

When she's on her stomach, she likes to push her chest up and support herself with her arms. She looks around to see what is close by.

How Your Baby is Developing

  • Gross Motor Development—Moves body, arms and legs with coordination

Helping Your Baby Grow

  • For sleeping, always place baby on back for safety.
  • During play, sometimes place baby on back and other times, on stomach to provide broader views and encourage use of legs, arms and hands.
