At 28 months Jasmine is learning about using the toilet and taking care of some of her physical needs like washing her hands and wiping her own nose.

Jasmine likes to pretend she is sitting on the potty and then runs away and says, "All done."

How Your Toddler is Developing

  • Physical Health and Well-being—Expresses physical needs nonverbally or verbally; begins to develop self-help skills.

Helping Your Toddler Grow

  • Prepare the environment and establish routines to allow toddler to begin to take care of some of own physical needs.
  • Provide opportunities for toddler to develop and use self-help skills, such as feeding and dressing self.
