6-12 Months
Physical & Motor Skills

Jenny

Jenny's parents are excited that she's learned to crawl at 8 months.

They know Jenny is now able to move everywhere and will explore her surroundings.

They've childproofed their home, making it safer for crawling baby.

How Your Baby is Developing

  • Gross Motor Development—Demonstrates large muscle balance, stability, control and coordination; moves body with purpose to achieve a goal.

Helping Your Baby Grow

  • Provide safe, interesting places for baby to move around in and explore.
  • Provide close supervision as baby learns to move and explore the environment, especially stairs and doorways.
  • Childproof spaces baby explores and remove unsafe and breakable/valuable objects.
