COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS

Community partnerships and a focus on results are at the core of United Way's move to Community Impact. This approach demans that communities are proactive as well as responsive to the area's most pressing needs. United Way of Greater Duluth is committed to being a leader and a partner in this united effort to strengthen our community by mobilizing resources to improve people's lives.

City of Duluth Foreclosure Task Force
United Way of Greater Duluth is involved with collaborating with city, county, nonprofit agencies and the for-profit world of banking to develop cohesive solutions to the problem of foreclosure.

   
 

Creating Neighborhoods that Work - At Home in Duluth Collaborative
United Way of Greater Duluth is committed to helping people and places prosper - enhancing the social and economic fabric of our community.

United Way of Greater Duluth works with the Duluth Public Schools to help determine goals and measures that define an excellent education in Duluth.
   
  The Duluth-Proctor-Hermantown Thrive Initiative
United Way of Greater Duluth works with toward gathering information, raising awareness, and identifying strategies to develop strong networks of services that support the healthy social and emotional well-being of young children and families.
   
  Early Literacy Coalition

  Heading Home - St. Louis County Ten Year Plan to End Homelessness
United Way of Greater Duluth works towards addressing the critical need of preventing future homelessness and by offering new housing options that accept the homeless.
   
  Lake Superior Regional Family Justice Center
United Way of Greater Duluth is involved with effectively responding at domestic violence in our community - to provide a safe location where all the needs of victims are met in one place - children are protected, violence stops, families health and thrive, economic justic increase, hope is realized and batterers are held accountable.
